TaQusia Sharkey, hair therapist and master stylist of Q.Renee Glam Lab, has created a welcoming salon atmosphere for the past 14 years. She strives to empower each guest she serves with high quality service while enjoying the Q.Renee experience.
Being a professional cosmetologist is a dream realized as Ms.Sharkey has dreamed of being behind the chair since childhood. In 1999, Ms. Sharkey was under the tutelage of Dacia Parker, owner of Who’s Hair Salon, where she received extensive hands on training while attending Kaye’ s Beauty College. Some of her proudest educational accomplishments are Certification of Cosmetology, Certified Davines Tech. Her passion for her career and desire for growth is evident as she continues to branch out and network with other beauty brands and stylists; continuously, attending professional cosmetology conventions, hair shows, and beauty forums. Ms. Sharkey has extended her craft by traveling all across the States (including Hawaii) to attend training courses in precision cutting, hair coloring, short hair, razor cutting, and more. She is one of the first members to cross Rho Delta Tau, a sorority and fraternity for hair professionals.
Upon receiving her certificate of completion from Beauty College in 2001 she realized it was only the beginning to bringing all her dreams and aspirations to life. In 2005, she wished to grow her talent further by reckoning forces with SwingTyme Total Salon and Spa as a Junior Stylist where she gained experience working with elite brands such as Aveda Concept Salons. Later in 2007, Sharkey was offered the opportunity of a salon management position with Reflections Salon and Spa. Out of the closure of Reflections Salon and Spa in 2012, Q.Renee Hair Therapy was born.
Ms. Sharkey firmly believes the Lord has blessed her with a gift and she is purposed to bless others. She partnered with non-profit organizations such as, Prestigious Princesses, Inc., where she is afforded the opportunity to empower teenage girls to discover their full potential. She assist the organization as a lead stylist to the annual Confidently Back-to-School event and as an active chairperson of the Annual Princess Ball. Yearly, she commits to 100 hours of extending her chair to women less fortunate but yet very deserving to provide
